This and many other posters from the march did what has not been possible for the longest time, which was to get everyone to talk about feminism in Pakistan’s context. How do we perceive feminism? What are our issues and how will we be dealing with them?'
Women journalists in Pakistan are increasingly under attack. “This abduction is a warning ahead of elections. Women journalists doing important work in Pakistan are increasingly becoming targets of state intimidation, their work on critical issues is being obstructed,” said CFWIJ founder Kiran Nazish.

These social networking sites not only help in communication but also play a major role in empowering women, encouraging civic participation among women in Western, Middle East and Asian countries. I really hope everybody soon understands what a real feminist is, because truly it’s not a bad thing, actually it is something all of us should be. Period.
